The regular jack is intended only for short-term lifting of the car at wheel replacement; before performance of any works under the car it is necessary to establish it on special props!

The spare wheel, jack, lobby towing скоба and tools are stored in the luggage space hatch. The jack handle lies in a bag about a spare wheel. For access to the luggage carrier hatch lift a cover. The lifted cover it is possible to assign an upper edge of a wall of a luggage carrier by means of a hook located on it.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering. Cock a lay brake and establish selector AT lever in position P (on models with АТ) or include the first or a reverse gear (on models with Manual transmission). In case of need include the alarm system and expose a sign on an emergency stop. Prop up противооткатными boots a wheel located on a diagonal from subject replacement.

At procedure performance on a bias it is necessary to enclose boots under both wheels of a serviceable axis from outside descent.

    Prepare the necessary tool (a jack, баллонный a key) and a spare wheel. At a corresponding complete set remove a protective cap of a disk, then give bolts of fastening of the failed wheel.

    Get a jack head under a corresponding point under a threshold beam, - track, that the jack settled down strictly vertically, and its heel rested all surface against a ground, – at a friable ground enclose under a heel a suitable lining (it is useful to have a piece of a wide board in the car in the winter). Watch as well that the groove in a jack head has entered into corresponding cuts in a car threshold.

Without dependence from presence of a bias the jack always should occupy strictly vertical position!

    Working as the jack handle, raise the car, – the damaged wheel should come off the earth completely. Turn out wheel bolts and make wheel replacement.
Points of installation of elevating devices.
    Check up pressure of a rating of the established wheel, in case of need make corresponding updating. Clean the removed wheel and the tool on the regular places. In summary in regular intervals tighten wheel bolts in a diagonal order ("star") with effort 110 Nm.

Car posting

For car posting the lift with four paws resting against reference points for a screw jack, or the garage lift which can be established both on the same points, and under a forward stretcher of the car or under a platform of the back towing device is used.

Transportation of the emergency car

Transportation on a platform эвакуатора

Most reasonably to transport the emergency car on эвакуаторе. Such transportation can be made:

    Method of full loading of the faulty car on a platform эвакуатора; Method of partial loading (one axis on a pendant shelf эвакуатора, and another or on the special cart, or on the earth). Thus the lay brake should be released.

For fastening of an emergency vehicle on a platform эвакуатора it is necessary to use towing eyes.

Towage

Start of the engine by a towage method is impossible, for start use the auxiliary battery.

The forward eye for fastening of a towing cable is stored together with a spare wheel in the luggage space hatch. For installation of a forward eye remove from a fixing aperture a plastic cover and reliably screw in it an eye.

For this purpose it is possible to take advantage of a key for wheel bolts. Do not leave a forward towing eye established if in it there is no necessity since at collision, for example, with болтиком sidewalk it is possible to damage a stretcher. After removal of an eye do not close its aperture a cover.

The back eye is established in the centre of a back of the car.

If to avoid towage it is not possible, it is the most reasonable to make it on rigid сцепке.

Back towing eye

Before the towage beginning on the emergency car it is necessary to include ignition, to establish transmission in neutral position and to release a lay brake.

At towage on flexible сцепке use only cable specially intended for this purpose. Application of modern synthetic materials has allowed to adjust release of towing cables of the elastic design reducing to a minimum danger of breakages as a result of hit of a sling under wheels of the towed car.

The driver of the towing car should try to move in regular as more as possible intervals, smoothly releasing coupling at a gear change and, especially, at трогании from a place.

At management of a towed vehicle watch, that during movement the cable constantly remained tense, try not to suppose sharp jerks and arrivals on прослабленный a cable.

Remember that at the switched off engine efficiency of braking of the car considerably decreases because the vacuum amplifier of brakes ceases to function. Thus it is necessary to squeeze out a pedal of a working brake with much big, than usually, effort; at maneuvering performance большее the effort should be put also to a steering wheel since the pump of the amplifier of a steering also will not function.

Before a start of motion drivers of both vehicles (towing and towed) should co-ordinate among themselves a route.

Movement should be carried out on the shortest route. The faulty car with АТ is authorised to tow with a speed no more than 50 km/h and on distance no more than 50 km. Observe ПДД, avoid sharp braking, accelerations and superfluous maneuvering. Remember that at car towage on dirt road edge always there is a danger of a pulling down on a roadside.

Before the beginning of towage of the faulty car with АТ check up level трансмиссионной liquids (see the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance), – at insufficient level ATF, it is necessary to modify it, or to tow the car only with the driving wheels torn off from the earth.
