The general information The site of identification number АТ and its decoding are described in Section transmission Identification. On cars considered in the present Management till 2002 were established АТ type AF30, and since 2002 – АТ AF33-5. During start of motion АТ acts in a role of ordinary coupling, and during movement performs work on a gear change. The basic knots АТ are: the converter of a twisting moment (hydrotransformer), a planetary reducer, hydraulic or electronic blocks of management. To transition to other transfer relation in a planetary reducer are applied гидроприводные disk brakes and disk coupling. Thus on АТ AF33-5 movement on 3rd transfer with the included blocking instead of 4th transfer without blocking, and on AT AF30 – on 2nd transfer with the included blocking instead of 3rd transfer without blocking is possible. Besides, blocking муфта hydrotransformer AT AF33-5 at slow acceleration can slip, supposing a difference of turns of a cranked shaft and primary shaft АТ within 50 200 rpm. It allows to switch off lowering transfer later. The control system of transmission is a component of a control system of the engine and on the basis of the analysis of the data arriving from various information gauges (not necessarily directly related to functioning actually transmissions), are chosen optimum from the point of view of profitability, smoothness of switchings and other by a mode of functioning АТ. Thanks to application Д/В of modes P / N engine start can be carried out only when selector AT lever is in position Р or N that allows to prevent casual movement of the car at start attempt.
