Coupling

Coupling is intended for rupture of power communication between the engine and Manual transmission at switching of transfer and provides thanks to frictional communication smooth transfer of a twisting moment on a running gear at a start of motion.

Coupling consists of the press disk, a conducted disk, and a hydraulic drive with the main and executive cylinder.

Press the disk bolts fastens to a flywheel connected with cranked shaft of the engine. Between a press disk and a flywheel there is a conducted disk which nestles on a flywheel the press bearing of the executive cylinder. The conducted disk is connected with primary shaft Manual transmission through шлицевое connection.

By pressing of a pedal of coupling the brake liquid from the general tank through the main cylinder of coupling under pressure is transferred in the executive cylinder. Press the bearing of the executive cylinder influences on press a disk. Thus conducted disk is taken away from a flywheel and power communication between the engine and Manual transmission interrupts. In not pressed condition the press spring presses the bearing to тарельчатой to a spring of a press disk. It reduces deterioration of the press bearing of coupling since it at inclusion is not dispersed to number of turns of the engine.

At each inclusion and deenergizing of coupling as a result of power influence there is a deterioration of frictional overlays of a conducted disk. The conducted disk represents wearing out detail, however average term of its service enough big and depends basically on loading (operation with the trailer) and style of driving.

Power shafts

Cars Saab 9-5 have a forward drive. The twisting moment is transferred to wheels from transmission through the differential built in it by means of power shafts. Power shafts have identical length, however between the right shaft and differential the intermediate shaft leaning against the bearing, established on the power unit is established. The variable angle of slope of power shafts is carried out by means of internal and external hinges of the equal angular speeds (SHRUS) placed in protective covers. The internal hinge of the left shaft is fixed in a box by means of a lock ring. The internal hinge of the right shaft is established in specially intended nest of an intermediate shaft. External hinges of both shaft enter into naves of forward wheels and are fixed ступичными by nuts.
