Removal and installation of a cowl and its lock

At removal and cowl installation it is necessary to secure with the help of the assistant.

Mark cowl position on loops and remove the top support of a rack of the cowl (6), established in the hinge on a cowl. Turn out on two bottom nuts (7) on each loop, and then give on pair turns the top nuts (8).

Remove a cowl. If it is required to remove its loops, give their bottom nuts.

Installation is made upside-down. If necessary transfer a noise isolation, consolidation and atomizers of washers on a new cowl. In summary adjust position of a cowl concerning a body – backlashes between them should be identical, and their height should coincide.

Adjustment of position of a cowl in a longitudinal direction is made at three released nuts of a loop on the cowl party; adjustment of height of the back party of a cowl is made at three released nuts of a loop on the body party. For adjustment of height of a forward part of the party of a cowl give nuts (1) clamps, a screw-driver adjust their position and make corresponding adjustment of a rubber emphasis.

The cowl lock

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Open a cowl and remove a decorative lattice of a radiator.

Turn out screws in the terminator of a cable and extend a cable from its plug and lock levers. Fix a stopper of a cable (3).

Give nuts (2) and remove the lock. Will put the lock and, without fixing it, accurately close a cowl to level a latch with the lock. Open a cowl and fix the lock nuts. Insert a cable into one of springs and put on a stopper (3). Then insert a cable into the plug and in other spring (4) and put on a stopper. Make sure that the spring in the released position settles down opposite to a stopper (A) and that between a stopper and a spring there is a backlash. After installation adjust cowl position.
