The general data on options and adjustments

Not separately taken procedure of updating is meant "options" in the present Management any of parametres of systems of the car, and the whole complex of the adjustments, allowing to achieve peak efficiency of return of the engine.

If the owner of the new car from the date of its acquisition strictly adhered to the schedule of procedures of routine maintenance (see Has undressed the routine maintenance Schedule), often enough carried out checks of critical parametres, supported demanded level of lubricant liquids, the engine will require extremely seldom performance of additional service and regenerative repair (over replacement of components subject to raised deterioration and account materials).

On the other hand, in case of the negligent relation to performance of procedures of regular maintenance service and infringement of target dates of carrying out of checks, efficiency of return of the engine will necessarily decrease sooner or later. The probability of occurrence of such situation in case of acquisition of the car which was in the use is especially high. In such cases there is a necessity for performance of a complex of options of the power unit over amount of works on car routine maintenance.

The first step at adjustment or diagnostics of malfunctions of the engine working with lowered return always is check компрессионного pressure in cylinders (the Engine see the Head) which analysis of results allows to estimate the general condition of internal components of the engine and to draw up the plan forthcoming adjusting and-or a recovery work. For example, if check компрессионного pressure has revealed signs of serious internal deterioration of the engine, a usual complex of options will be insufficiently to correct a situation, and its carrying out is waste of time and means. In view of value of the information received as a result of check компрессионного of pressure, it is necessary to charge its performance to skilled enough and qualified mechanic having necessary diagnostic devices.

Lists of the basic adjusting procedures are more low resulted, allowing to achieve peak efficiency of return from the engine being in a serviceable mechanical condition.

The list of the minimum complex of checks and adjustments

Check levels and presence of leaks of working liquids (the Section Check of levels of liquids, the control of leaks see); Check a condition of the storage battery and if necessary clear its plugs (the Section Check of a condition of the battery and care it see); Check all hoses located in an impellent compartment, tubes and electroconducting on presence of leaks and deterioration (the Section Check of a condition and replacement of hoses and tubes in an impellent compartment, localisation of leaks see); Check height of a protector and pressure of a rating of tyres, including a spare wheel (the Section Check of a condition of tyres and pressure of their rating see); Check serviceability of functioning of all consumers of the electric power (lighting devices, a horn, control lamps etc.); Check a condition of screen wipers (the Section condition Check, adjustment and replacement of brushes of screen wipers see).
